Nicholas Taylor presents a reflective journey through the contrasting worlds of modern university life and life on the Navajo Nation reservation in Northern Arizona. Taylor's unique perspective -- that of a young Native student attending college off-reservation -- is meant for Native Americans and anyone who is facing the difficulties of living in two worlds while struggling to maintain their own culture and beliefs.
Changes From Within displays Native American strength, endurance and resiliency, while reflecting on the difficult times young people face, including challenges that seem impossible to overcome.
Changes from Within is a film by a Native American for Native Americans, the off-reservation challenges of the modern world, and the challenges they face within their own culture. Nicholas Taylor shot the film on location on the Navajo Nation and in Tucson and on the campus of the University of Arizona.
