The New York art scene of the 1960s spawned influential movements that still resonate to this day.

Peter Young is a painter who came out of that era, and he's know for his abstract paintings. An exhibition currently on display at MOCA in downtown Tucson, titled "Peter Young: Capitalist Masterpieces," shows the distinct phases of the artist's trajectory.

"I've tried to change and change and change," says Young. "I didn't want to get stuck."

Young's restless explorations reveal the artist constantly seeking to redefine his style. In the process he's managed to create a diverse range of canvases that have established him in the art world.
