University of Arizona researchers are helping develop the desert shrub called guayule. Environmental engineering scientist Kim Ogden says the plant is a low-maintenance substitute for typical rubber trees, and can be grown in Arizona for making car tires and other manufactured goods.
Kim Ogden spoke with Tim Swindle, professor emeritus in Astronomy at the University of Arizona.
