These conversations between educators, administrators, and students gives them a chance to share personal stories about the struggles and triumphs of their daily school experience.
Stories That Soar is a Tucson non-profit that encourages children to write stories. Any kind of story, about anything they can possibly imagine. They use those stories to feed something called "The Magic Box", and often the children get the chance to see their stories made into professionally printed books, or performed live as a play in front of their classmates and teachers.
In this conversation, Sharon O'Brien, the artistic director of Stories That Soar, talks with Mary Anderson, a former classroom teacher who is now the principal at Lineweaver Elementary School, about how the idea was born...

Stories That Soar will be at the Tucson Festival of Books on March 10th and 11th, 2012.
Teachers' Voices will air bi-weekly throughout 2012 on Arizona Spotlight, funded in part by The Arizona Department of Education and Cox Communications.
