They are part of USA National Phenology Network’s “Nature’s Notebook” volunteer science program, based at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Arizona. The goal is sharing data to understand ongoing changes in the life cycles of plants and animals.

Myrelis Diaz, a public health student at the University of Arizona, is fighting misinformation on the COVID-19 pandemic to protect her family in Puerto Rico. Her home country is still recovering from the humanitarian crisis that followed Hurricane Maria in 2017.
