- The Arizona Theatre Company is opening a new musical called “Blues in the Night”, featuring classic music by Duke Ellington, Bessie Smith and Benny Goodman. Director Ricardo Kahn and choreographer Hope Clarke talk about how the production celebrates America’s cultural heritage.

- Do you have a story idea that you’d like to see brought to the stage? Meet two of the members of Old Pueblo Playwrights, a community group that offers support and instruction to writers of all skill levels. Their 36th annual New Play Festival begins February 6th at the Temple of Music and Art.

- And the Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair is dedicated to helping students develop critical thinking skills and solve problems by applying science and engineering. The group is celebrating its 70th anniversary next month, featuring over 1,500 science fair projects. Hear from Julie Euber the CEO of SARSEF, Yaritza Durazo, a former participant and the current Outreach Specialist at SARSEF and Wyatt a 7th grade student who is participating in this years fair.
VIEW LARGER Yaritza Durazo participated in SARSEF in her senior year of high school. Now she is a junior at the University of Arizona and works as an outreach specialist at SARSEF.
