Beginning Monday August 4, 2025, the westbound I-10 on-ramp at Ajo Way will close as part of the "Interstate 10: Kino to Country Club Project."

The Arizona Department of Transportation says the work in the targeted area is necessary to deal with traffic congestion, increase safety and traffic flow, and improve the interchanges at Country Club Road and at Kino Parkway.

The feasibility study and environmental overview for the project began in 2010 followed by other steps along the years until construction started this summer.

It is expected to be completed in 2028.
