House Bill 2490 - Religion and Politics

House Bill 2490 specifies that religious groups that do not spend a substantial amount of time or assets influencing governments or elections do not have to register as a political committee. The bill does not define “substantial”.

On March 3, 2010 the full House approved HB 2338 on a 37-27 vote.
