In 2015, Tucson Arizona was designated as world city of Gastronomy by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. Though others have applied, it was the first city in the United States to receive the designation. It sounds important, but what does it really mean, and why Tucson?
