Why All the Wear and Tear on Pima County's Roads?

The director of the Department of Transportation explains why the focus is now on maintenance.


Improving infrastructure comes up as an issue at all levels of government. In Pima County, about 2,200 miles of roads need repairs. Proposition 463 is a bond measure worth nearly half a billion dollars that would go toward fixes. Ana Olivares, director of the Pima County Department of Transportation, explained how the county assesses and prioritizes which areas need attention.
