Bones are a basic part of the human anatomy, but a University of Arizona medical researcher wants to make them better. University of Arizona professor John Szivek studies bone structure and development. He is using 3-D printing technology to develop bone tissue. UA recently received a $2 million grant from the Department of Defense to research to help military personnel who have suffered significant bone injuries.
