Featured on the May 23rd, 2019 edition of ARIZONA SPOTLIGHT with host Mark McLemore:
- The Mexican restaurant Lerua's closed earlier this year to make way for the project to widen Broadway Boulevard. Mark talks with journalist Rita Connelly, the author of Lost Restaurants of Tucson, about this city's rich legacy of family-owned dining traditions.

- Meet Jesse Sensibar, who has written Blood in the Asphalt: Prayers from the Highway. It is a collection of stories from more than three decades of being a tow truck driver, and the many road side shrines and crosses that he has stopped to document along the way, published by Tolsun Books.

- Meet Thomas Thwaites, an author and futurist from the UK who is now serving as an assistant professor at the Rhode Island School of Design. Mark talks with Thwaites about his whole-hearted attempt to take a holiday from being a human being by trying to live life as a goat.

- And, Arizona Daily Star columnist David Leighton looks back 60 years in local history, to tell about two visits that Martin Luther King, Jr. made to Tucson to speak on civil rights. Leighton's "Street Smarts" column runs the first Monday of every month in the Arizona Daily Star.
