- The new Arizona Theatre Company production Master Class offers a portrait of Maria Callas, one of the greatest soprano opera singers of all time, as she attempts to teach 3 young music students how to achieve perfection. - The International Uranium Film Festival is a series of eye-opening films about the consequences of uranium mining, the use of nuclear power, nuclear arms and uranium weapons. The two-day event will be held March 12th & 13th at The Screening Room in downtown Tucson. Norbert Suchanek the originator of this world-wide project, talks about what to expect.
The Screening Room will feature 3 films from the festival's roster. March 12th there will be showings of "Radioactive: The Women of Three Mile Island" at 4 p.m and "Downwind" at 6 p.m. The documentary "Demon Mineral" will be screened at 3 p.m. on March 13th.

- The Tucson Festival of Books is happening this weekend. One of the most-asked questions about the Festival is, “How can a new or self-published author get noticed?" Mark talks with first-time author Elliot Glicksman about his upcoming appearances to to sign his book So Far, So Good - Answers to Questions I Should Have Been Asked, published by A3D Impressions.

- The Tucson non-profit Literacy Connects sponsors a group of performers and musicians called “Stories That Soar!”. They help young writers realize the power and potential of bringing their stories to life across all mediums. "Arizona Spotlight" presents these stories on the first Thursday of every month.
"Depression of Two Kids"” was written by a 5th grader named Valentina. It portrays the emotional turmoil that comes with kids sharing difficult feelings like sadness and depression, and the importance of being honest about our feelings with the people we love.

Literacy Connects presents “Stories That Soar!”, a program where the Tucson non-profit empowers students of all ages by bringing their stories to life with professional actors and musicians.
