Featured on the July 25th, 2024 edition of ARIZONA SPOTLIGHT with host Mark McLemore:

  • As seen for three seasons on his Adult Swim show “Joe Pera Talks with You”, comedian Joe Pera has a very individualistic style. It is a gentle and thoughtful approach to telling stories, devoid of sarcasm or cynicism. Pera will perform an evening of comedy at The Rialto Theater on July 27th, giving Mark a chance to spend time with Pera’s calming personality.

  • And, what is the power behind a name? Tony Paniagua speaks with two representatives from the Tucson Audubon Society about the birding group’s decision to follow a national trend and drop “Audubon” from its name. Also, there is a separate conversation around changing the names of many familiar species of bird so that they can be more accurately identified. What are people saying, both for and against these changes?
